The simplest way of describing the coaching process is as follows:
We engage the client in a conversation which is entirely focused on the client’s needs and desired outcomes, raising awareness throughout the process about the client’s skills, obstacles, opportunities, choices, decisions, actions and consequences.
We use a wide variety of tools in our coaching, many of which are outlined in Understanding Life Coaching.
We do not require a set number of sessions over a set period of time. Coaching session duration, frequency and length of time are all established and agreed to with the client on a case by case, need by need basis. That said, many of our clients work with us for an hour a week or fortnight and coaching relationships average between three and six months.
Our entire process is focused on the relationship with you, where developing an appropriately supportive and engaging environment is our primary objective.
From this relationship foundation we are able to explore together the best methodology necessary to achieve the desired results. No two coaching or learning environments are ever the same, so we do not package our methodology into a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we research and custom build the solution process each and every time, although we may also draw upon established resources to create the customised package.
Our Incredible Awareness Resource Library has hundreds of specialised coaching models, documents and exercises which we are able to match together in countless ways, and/or to use as a starting point in creating something entirely new.
Additionally, we are licensed practitioners for the Neethling Brain Instrument Whole Brain Thinking profiles. We frequently use these profiles to support participants in coaching and learning programmes to expand their awareness and improve their versatility in self leadership approaches and in communicating and negotiating more effectively with others. You’re invited to read Why Whole Brain Thinking, check out our Profile Listings and the Pricing and contact us to discuss getting a profile set up for you and/or for your team
Whether coaching or designing a learning programme, the process always starts with you and exploring what you want, what you’ve tried in the past, what’s worked and what hasn’t and what you’re willing to explore now. This is an integral part of defining the scope of our relationship.
From there we piece together the ideal programme, with lots of checks and balances along the way to ensure we’re getting it right and that it’s delivering results at the milestones and at the end-point.
We’re very confident about what we do because we get lots of feedback to that affect, both solicited and unsolicited. It’s important to know that we build in lots of opportunities to discuss and evaluate the coaching and/or learning programme. We do this at every coaching session, and during and after learning events.
Most importantly however, for all learning events, we design follow-up coaching opportunities to ensure that the knowledge and skills gained from the event are being effectively utilised in the practical and relevant environments.
We also take great pride in our desire to conduct research and collect information from various sources and make this information available to all clients where relevant so that the benefits of our coaching and learning programmes are supported by continuous knowledge sharing.
